Read more here.I have heard from many people who cannot understand why union members would object to their money being used to improve their jobs or wages. Perspective is everything. From their vantage point, it is confusing. But for those of us who don’t vote solely based on our jobs and wallets, it is our right not to contribute.
How legislation affects my family, educational beliefs or conservative principles might not line up with the union’s “ideas” of what’s best for education or its workers. They can’t speak for me. That is called free speech.
I find it ironic that I am responsible and intelligent enough for parents to trust me everyday with their kids, but the union feels they have to “think” for me in terms of how I spend my money on politics.
